Boards & fields
The board your process needs, built in an afternoon.
Every launch, change or idea is a card, and every stage is a column. Fields, formulas, tabs & card layouts are yours to set up in the browser — and whoever owns the process can change them without filing a ticket.
The problem
Off-the-shelf PLM fits somebody else’s process.
The forms don’t match the work.
The fields were designed for a company ten times your size, so half are ignored and what matters ends up in a comment.
Every change is a ticket.
Adding one field means a consultant, a change request, or waiting on whoever set the system up.
The spreadsheet wins by default.
It’s the only tool flexible enough, so it becomes the system — and nobody quite trusts it.
The solution
Set it up the way you work. Change it the same day.
13 field types
Text, select, multi-select, number, currency, date, person, checkbox, link, image, file & more — including calculated fields for formulas.
Formulas that read the card
Sums, averages, IF and DAYS_BETWEEN, or how complete a whole section is — “how much of Economics is filled in”. Rules can act on the result.
Stages with entry criteria
A card can’t move into a stage until the fields that stage needs are filled in or set. Enforced on every path, including imports & automations.
Tabs, sections & card faces
Arrange each card into tabs and sections, and choose the handful of fields that show on the board itself.
Templates
Start from an NPD stage-gate or an idea-intake board, or save any board you’ve built as a template for the next product line.
Live for everyone
Drag a card to its next stage and everybody looking at the board sees it move.
Questions
Common questions.
Do we need to write code to set up a board?
No. Boards, fields, formulas, layouts & stage criteria are all set up in the browser. Whoever runs the process can build it and change it.
Can a stage have entry criteria?
Yes. Each stage can require that certain fields are filled in, or set to a value, before a card moves into it. Launchglass enforces that on every path — dragging, importing & automations — and tells you exactly what’s missing.
Can we start from our spreadsheet?
Yes. Import from CSV with each column mapped to a field, and a preview names any row that won’t import before anything is written. Any board exports back to CSV whenever you like.
Can we change a board after we’ve started using it?
Yes. Add, reorder or archive fields, rename and reorder stages, and rearrange the layout at any time. The cards keep their data.
